After the Annihilation HL2RP server went empty, I decided to play some good ol' TF2. In about half-way of a Zaxton Hale round, I wanted to get a small drink; that iz when I got up to get a cup of water a set it next to my laptop. I have never before spilled anything so I thought to myself,"Why would I spill it this time?" I played as a Huntsman Sniper, got up to 1,500 damage on him when Zaxton Hale came out of nowhere. I jumped and hit my cup with my elbow. It didn't get knocked over, but some water did jump out to the side of my keyboard.
It took me 10 seconds to take in what just happened, and I ran to the paper towels, then mashed my keyboard with it. It dried up, and my computer screen was off due to me accidentally hitting the sleep button. I turned it back up, told a friend my story on what just happened and how I overreacted over "a couple of small drops of water". But, right at that moment when I hit the 'h' key, it popped up as 'h6'. At first I thought I was just typing very fast and somehow I pushed the '6' key too, but it did it again. Slowly, problems with my keyboard came up. Shift would also activate Ctrl, hitting E would also enter, m would pop up with n, + with /, ? with =, ^ with H, and the list goes on forever. My ultimate reaction can be described as
Next day, I decided to just say,"Fuck it I'm taking it apart and seeing the problem myself." So, I pulled off my keyboard off of my laptop. Tapped it against the wall and had some air hitting it at all sides so it can dry any small speckles of water. I turned it back on, and every key was working...Except for one...It lays between the 'A' key and the 'D' key. So, lezzon learned. Thank God for spellchecker.
TLDR; i wuz ztupid zo i zpilled water on teh keyboard and it broke and i fix it but the one key iz brokeen ;cccc
