I haven't seen APCs being used, and they're kind of a big thing in Half-Life 2. They're like the cop cars of the MPF, they use them to travel long distances and, possibly, escort citizens for detainment. If you see a citizen being detained, then there's the APC, right behind them. This leads me to believe that of backup was needed, units didn't just stomp over there, they drove. If the city's streets were more expansive and lead to a few more places in the new map being made by Alex's friend, then we could implement the APCs perfectly. They can be used for escort, getting units to places just a bit faster, firing at anti-civvies with their mounted AR2 and rocket launchers. They're easy to make as well. Just need a jeep, chairs, and no-collide. I think it'd be a very neat and very useful item for RP and for immersion.

No-collide chair on a no-collide APC welded to a jeep, weld the chair to the APC model and make it invisible. Promptly plop an OTA on it with an AR2 that has infinite ammo.

But I'd be fine with a custom APC also.
